School Nutrition Action Group

Feb 2013

The S.N.A.G group is a pupil led school initiative that was set up in 2008. We work together with partner agencies to improve healthy eating in our school. This includes not only improving what our pupils eat, but the quality of their dining experience and developing knowledge and understanding of pupils about ways they can lead a healthier life style.

The SNAG group 2012- 2013 members include:

  • Amy Vinnard Year 13- Chair
  • Nuha Ahmed – Year 9 -Secretary
  • Anna Wright- Year 9

  • Courtney Sparkes- Year 9
  • Matthew Waite – Year 13
  • CMcRobbie – Head of Pupil Development & Healthy Schools Coordinator
  • Anna Wheeler- Catering Manager
  • Julie Barry- Baguette Bar Manager

We hold regular meetings to discuss what can be improved and how we plan to make our school healthier. We carry out surveys and delicious taster sessions, all made by the SNAG pupils.
